Huge congratulations to Year 6, who were the highest scoring class and won the Maltby Learning Trust TTRockstars competition during NSPCC Number Day. Congratulations also to Jorgie, Emily and Heidi who were the top scorers of their class! The children put great effort into their maths learning. Well done!
Christmas came early to Maltby Redwood on Tuesday when the Maltby and Rother Valley Lions attended Christmas lunch with the children and observed the impact of a previous grant shared to improve the Sensory Room. They then presented Mrs Berry with a cheque for £1000 for further furnishings and resources to complete the project. Everyone at #TeamRedwood is absolutely thrilled and value how this will positively impact on our children. Merry Christmas everyone!
We had a very special visit from Pudsey this morning, we hope you all enjoyed meeting him! Thank you so much to everyone for your donations so far, the money raised will make a huge difference to those who need it most
Special thanks to our Student Council members and their families for representing Maltby Redwood Academy at the Remembrance Parade yesterday.
Yesterday was Year 2's stay and P.E session. The children really enjoyed honing their Hockey skills with their Parents! Thank you to everyone who was able to attend. ![]()

Come and join us for our Nursery open day on Thursday 2nd November 12pm- 3:30pm.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Today was Year 6's Stay and Aeroplane event, which was inspired by their English writing based on the short silent film Paperman.
The children created their own paper aeroplanes and competed to see whose flew the furthest. It was lovely to see so many parents and careers attending. Good fun was had by all, great competition and resilience. The winning aeroplane belongs to Emily. Well done everyone. ![]()
Last week we held our MLT Literary Festival! The children enjoyed visits from poet Paul Cookson and author Gareth Baker, who performed some of their works and undertook workshops with the classes. The children also had the chance to perform poems they had learned with schools from across the trust, and they all did brilliantly! It was an amazing week full of literacy celebrations. ![]()
